from that spot

i must admit that i love fog,
i was born in sarajevo,
which many will argue
is the fog capital of the world

some people say that it's too gloomy,
but i think it adds so much mystery

mornings after a night of non-stop rain
are among my favourite

while i was unlocking the car
early this morning
i fell in love
with the scent of the crisp air
the feel of the leftover puddles on my toes,
bare from my sandals
& the slight fog, dispersing

if i had it my way,
i'd stay home in bed all day
glancing out the window,
listening to the wet leaves
brush against my window
