so today we went out to dinner for my brother's 18th birthday and we ended up at east side mario's... again...for the same reason as last time. anyway, i should backtrack. i had already eaten quite a bit before the restaurant & by a "bit" i mean the majority of two large pizzas.
speaking of pizzas, one day i ventured on to the pizza pizza website and decided to order online because then i would be entered into a draw to win a VIA around Canada trip. as i was placing my order i came across an option for the sauce topping. at first i was confused, "were they asking me to replace the tomato sauce, why am i being given an option to replace such a staple part of the pizza?" i thought to myself. surely tomato sauce was the only choice. I assessed all of my choices, after all, if i was to make such a dramatic choice it would require some deliberation. bbq won.
then a few steps later, i was given some more options, i was asked if i wanted to add more bbq sauce, on the top AND bottom. My thought process did not inquire into why anyone needed this much bbq sauce, that was not pertinent, what was important was that the extra sauce was free, ergo necessary. so 20 minutes and 26 dollars later i had in front of me a pizza soaking with bbq sauce, top, bottom, under, over it was EVERYWHERE. i devoured it while dipping it into the jalapeno cheddar dip sauce.
well today i ordered another pizza online (because the VIA competition is still not over) and added my regualr bbq infested pizza, but i also added another pizza with bruschetta instead of the regular tomato sauce. they were both delicious, and i admit i ate the majority of both pizzas. but when we arrived at the restaurant a few hours later i still had room for a salad, garlic bread and pasta. I also left room for a lava cake with ice cream.
also, check this out: THIS IS WHY YOU'RE FAT
i'm sure my arteries are planning some elaborate "eff you" revenge scheme but until then, all calories & saturated fats have an open invitation to my stomach ... i would extend that to my heart...but that is a small & cold place
